8 Motivating Journal Prompts to Start Your Journey to Personal-Growth
In one way or another we all want to be the best version of ourselves. This is a life long journey that can sometimes take us to challenging roads. Throughout the human history we can see a lot of examples of humans desire to evolve and grow. It can be seen in many different ways through philosophy, psychology, science, etc. In today’s world we call that a journey to personal growth. We are looking for that something that is going to give a special kind of meaning to our lives. Some people find it easier to realize what they want from their lives and what they need to do to get there. For others it can be a struggle.
Each of us is shaped by the place we live in, people that surround us and situations that happen to us. Because of the big impact that social media has, we are constantly getting so many different information’s. Some of that information helps us to focus on the things we need to do so we can grow. Other can be big distractions that are holding us back. It can get quite confusing, as the world is telling us something different from what we feel deep inside our heart and mind. It’s not all black or white.
Personal-growth is term that is hard to define. Sometimes we can also hear about self-growth or self- improvement. In the dictionary it says that personal growth is:

I would like to stress the “individual” part. We are all individuals that look, think and feel in our unique way. That also means that we should approach a personal-growth like that as well. Sometimes we tend to follow what others are doing and feeling bad when we don’t see a result. The thing is that you can’t see the result if you’re not using the right method. You are unique and so is your life story. If you want to grow as a person then you first need to reflect on who you are, what you want and what the best way for you to get it is.
This is a complex concept that holds a lot of different areas of each person’s life. It’s not just about one specific thing. We are not just what we think or just what we feel. Those things are intertwined in our identity. We all probably have a slightly different definition of personal-growth because of the situation we are currently in. Some of us maybe need to improve self-awareness; others may need to improve self- knowledge or health. We are all at different stages of our lives and we need to embrace it.
When it comes to figuring out what you need to work on I truly believe that reflecting and asking yourself some questions is the best way to go. I personally like to write things down as it helps me to stay connected with myself. I made this free workbook with 8 questions that I find very helpful and I think that you will too.
